VT36 Speed Yacht By Hyun-Seok Kim

VT36, Future Speed Yacht, Hyun-Seok Kim
VT36 Speed Yacht has been designed for business transportation. There are many commercial districts in New York, Singapore, Shanghai, or Dubai which are located next to the beach or sea. During rush hour, the streets can be blocked. VT36 provides a comfortable, convenient, and fast transportation for business people. This yacht has been designed with individual service unit hidden under the main deck, toilet, and rotational comfort seats for business meeting. All passengers are guaranteed a wide front view because the cockpit is positioned behind the passengers. The body design of VT36 is quiet unique, the rear side hull surface is connected to the front upper part, and therefore it looks like a drill blade.

Riparian Project By Adam Voorhees

Riparian Project, Futuristic Yacht, luxury catamaran, Adam Voorhees
Historically, the static form language and program of a yacht has been at odds within the always dynamic context of its environment, a stagnant set of ideals bound up by history and tradition. Every yacht has been classified and segregated into specific and discrete categories based on its limitations. What if these limitations are removed and a yacht is created to perform optimally in all conditions in any location?
The Riparian project explores the potentials of adaptive and flexible systems to redefine the yacht and to provide the ultimate experience of living on the sea.

Riparian Project, Futuristic Catamaran, luxury Yacht, Adam Voorhees
The Riparian is a new moving landscape whose purpose is to create a provocative conversation between the user, the yacht, and the environment. These three interdependent and essential elements define a condition where the yacht must adapt and transform to reflect the dynamic context of its surroundings. A facilitator for enhancing possibilities rather than an object for consumption, the Riparian creates new opportunities for clients wanting their yacht to have more purpose in their search to participate in life.
Riparian Project, Future Yacht, luxury catamaran, designer Adam Voorhees
The focal point of the Riparian is the innovative superstructure which transforms continuously through a spectrum of positions, intelligently responding to environmental conditions and user inputs. These physical transformations use a Shape Memory Alloy (Nitinol) structural skeleton with specific active and passive nodes. The nodes control the shaping through large scale movements and fine tuning individual sections.
Riparian Project, luxury Yacht, future catamaran, Adam Voorhees
The superstructure is able to change and reduce its aerodynamic profile to increase efficiency and reduce harmful live loads. Ventilation is performed by changing the physical shape of the superstructure to create high and low pressure zones with prevailing wind direction to encourage and direct ventilation. The volumes of the spaces contained within the superstructure can be changed for heating and cooling requirements, and natural light and views are controllable through adjusting the physical location of the skin or modulating the transparency of the surface.
Riparian Project, Future Yacht, concept catamaran, designer Adam Voorhees
Juxtaposing the dynamic statement of the superstructure, the form language of the hull and decks create an artificial landscape that undulates and flows along many levels. This reference to terra firma creates a sense of connection to the familiar while offering unique opportunities to circulate around the yacht.
Water plays an important role to reinforce the feeling of landscape and to further connect the users to the nautical environment. The pool on the aft deck and the reflection pond on the perimeter of the Venture deck level blur the distinction between the boundaries of the yacht and that of the sea. Six levels of living spaces are centered around freestanding and functional objects organized like a gallery exhibit. These spaces are purposefully ambiguous yet playful. Veiling the immediate understanding of the arrangement of the living spaces encourages the users to explore each area, heightening their awareness of it.
Riparian Project, Concept Yacht, luxury catamaran, designer Adam Voorhees
Self-sufficiency of a yacht is inherently tied to its sustainability. A strong motivator for the design of the Riparian is a respect and concern for the environment. The yacht does not rely on fossil fuels, in turn reducing its carbon footprint by using only hydrogen and the sun for power generation. An advanced fuel cell system and photovoltaics embedded in the superstructure provides all the needed energy for propulsion and onboard systems.
All of the materials used regard sustainability, eco-friendliness, and longevity. The Riparian also complies to RINA Green star regulations, RINA Secure Yacht certification, and IMO Alternative Design initiatives. The Riparian erases the limited boundaries of traditional yacht design, representing a new direction of transformability and flexibility for the ultimate in sophistication.

AUDI Trimaran Yacht By Stephanie Behringera

This fantastic concept was designed as part of a graduate project and is the brainchild of German designer Stephanie Behringer, and was completed under the supervision of AUDI, in Munich, Germany. The design is based on AUDI’s core brand values – progressive, sportive and premium.
AUDI Trimaran, Future Yacht, Stephanie Behringera
The AUDI Trimaran Yacht will be powered by two AUDI TDI (turbo-charged injection) diesel engines, and the integrated jet skis are electric-powered. The boat can reach as much as 6 knots while being driven in slow speed. However, if the speed exceeds 30 knots the yacht automatically switches to diesel engines.

When this yacht runs on diesel, it is equally supported by electric power. It can cruise at high speeds without using too much fuel; at the same time, the diesel engine recharges the batteries of the jet boats.

The Trimaran’s overall length is 15 meters, and due to its slender center hull, measures only 6.4 meters in width. Though the deck can accommodate only 12 people, you can make room for more in the berths located below. All you need to do is flip down a saloon table located in one of the lower decks.

Epiphany Yacht

Epiphany Yacht
Yachts are becoming a thing of luxury and pushing designers to create unique pieces which will cover the stretches of water with panache. Nathan Gendotti along with Caan Yaylali and John Guarino has designed a yacht christened Epiphany that comes with an ability to transform and measures 113 feet in length and 30 feet in breadth. The yacht that looks like a sports car has been given a sleek appearance with all the swiftness intact. Once it touches a dock or cove a whole new experience unfurls transforming it instantly.

Epiphany, Future Yacht
It has a range of 10 knts/900rpm 3000 N.Miles, at 15knts/2000rpm 2500 N.Miles and at 20knts/2500rpm 1800 N.Miles. The hull beautifully conceals the anchor in the triangle shaped cuts that are present at the bow of the yacht. The cuts slide and drop down the anchor straight into the water body. The deck is quite spacious and comes decorated with a hot tub placed in the center. The tub can be opened separately or with the sliding deck pieces that reveal more outdoor deck space giving this yacht a huge gathering space to enjoy.
Epiphany, Yacht Concept
A master suite has been crafted in the middle of the yacht that measures 30 feet in length and 17 feet in breadth along with a private bathroom. The suite is built at water level and has walls that can be folded down on both sides of the hull. This creates a water level private deck with water access. Apart from a master suite Epiphany will have a guest suite and two guest bunk rooms along with a captain’s quarter and a crew quarter which will comprise two bunk rooms.
Epiphany, Futuristic Yacht
Connecting the main center deck with the helm on the next level up and the crew quarters down below are stairs fashioned in spiral manner. Looking down from the helm is a living room that comes attached with a balcony for unrestricted view. The dining room comes attached with a kitchen which will further take you till the two guest bunks that have been positioned in the bow. Another stairwell will lead you till the guest suite and also the entrance to the master suite.
Epiphany, Innovation Yacht
The back comes wedged with a superstructure that has a glass sun roof. The roof slides open and has a 16 foot diameter opening, which is the same as the main entrance of the superstructure. Extending out from the rear of the yacht is a back platform. A storage space is created as the half of the stairs on the port side can be lifted up and slid under the deck. Epiphany Yacht is all about clubbing comfort with a speedy experience.

Open 90m Yacht Concept By Van Geest Design

Future yacht, Open 90m, Van Geest Design
While the average individual might not find it to be affordable, Van Geest Design (VGD) has created a true masterpiece with their Open 90 Yacht Design. This yacht is in its early stages of design of course, and because of that it is currently being developed for a European shipyard yet to be disclosed to the public. What can be disclosed however are a few of the specifications surrounding this yacht as well as the fact that anyone who rides on it is going to enjoy themselves immensely.

It has been stated by Van Geist that the Open 90 is being designed in an attempt to pursue and even combine the interactions between the interior and the exterior. This will effectively extend the living room and lounge areas to the exterior in an actual terrace arrangement. As with any boat however you might be wondering about the safety features, and as you will find out, there are plenty of safety features built into this boat.
Luxury yacht, Open 90m, Van Geest Design
It will be found that there are various pieces of safety equipment in the bulwarks as well as the forward and aft sections. Each of these sections feature a framed glass window that permits you to see the outboard with zero obstruction. In addition to aesthetics, it will also allow light to pass through which will permit for a more natural experience.
Concept yacht, Open 90m, Van Geest Design
The designs as of right now will permit for sixteen guests on the main deck, and the lower deck will feature space for twenty-two crew members. In addition to that space you will also find that there is a spa and wellness center along with the tender garage that is located directly forward of here.
Innovation yacht, Open 90m, Van Geest Design
There are of course going to be those concerned about exiting the boat while it is offshore, and this is perfectly reasonable. One thing that has been found, and is rather obvious, is that a helicopter moves much faster than a boat ever will. That being the case, a helipad has been built onto the top of the yacht for emergency situations.
Superyacht, Open 90m, Van Geest Design
In addition to the safety benefits, you will find that a full beam owner/guest suite has been included along with a private deck connected to the main deck. The 360 degree panoramic view will permit you to see virtually everything, and the entire boat is composed of a steel structure that permits for 24 knots. Though it does have this ability, the final speed available is largely unknown due to VGD’s unwillingness to release early specifications regarding the propulsion system. In all honesty however, you can probably plan on this boat being one of the best in its line. Stay tuned for more information!
